Cremation is an aftercare alternative for adored pets.  Cremation is the process of reducing matter into chemical compounds by the use of high temperature burning, vaporization and oxidation.  Hoisington Veterinary Hospital understands the significant place a pet holds in the lives of pet parents and we take pride in ensuring your beloved pet is treated with care and respect throughout the cremation process.

Hoisington Veterinary Hospital is one of the few cremation facilities in Barton County.  Our hospital offers both private and group cremation.  Group cremation means that your pet will be cremated along with other pets and the remains will not be returned to you.  With group cremation, the remains are either scattered or buried in a manner suitable for your beloved animals by our veterinary staff.

If a private cremation is requested, your pet will be cremated alone.  When private cremation is performed, the remains are placed into a decorative wood urn that is provided by the hospital.  You can rest assured knowing that your pet is treated with dignity and that the remains returned to you are only those of your pet.  If you would like to order a custom urn, we can help you to order the urn that best fits your needs.

If you are not sure which option is best for you and your family, feel free to visit with Dr. Lindsay and her knowledgeable staff.

Losing your pet is difficult, let us make it easier.
